The more classes you take, the more you will find that choreography retention is truly its own “muscle.” Same as with any muscle, we need to exercise our retention muscle for it to get stronger. Every class you take strengthens it, and, before you know it, you’re able to remember more moves than ever before. This transformation can happen faster than you think, trust us! Give yourself achievable goals that make you feel good, such as “I want to remember 2 8-counts of choreography today, and for the rest I’ll wing it if I forget.” Remember that these classes are never about being perfect, but rather about feeling good in your own skin!
