Our story

classes designed for non-dancers, by a non-dancer.

At Madhouse, every class is designed to boost your confidence and make you feel like a bad b*tch— no dance experience needed! Our original spicy dance fitness classes are designed for non-dancers to start dancing while getting an insanely fun workout. We call it a self-love transformation because after every class, you will walk out feeling more empowered and more in love with yourself than when you walked in— that’s our promise to you.

Our classes are always beginner friendly and designed to celebrate women of all levels. Here’s why:

Founder’s Story

Meet our founder, Olivia Kingston. Olivia had the idea for Madhouse in January of 2020 when she realized how much she loved to dance, and how little she actually did it. She had no real dance experience, and as an adult, her only outlets for dance were bars, clubs, or her own bedroom. She didn’t feel welcome in traditional dance studios where the emphasis was on technique and performance. All she wanted was a fun, friendly space to let loose and get an amazing workout in, so she decided to create it herself.

Olivia started by teaching outdoor, silent-disco dance cardio classes in late 2020. With no teaching experience, Olivia put her first classes together to the best of her ability, invited her friends, and taught for free in exchange for feedback. After several months of teaching for free, getting some word-of-mouth traction, and gathering valuable input from her earliest clients, Olivia launched her first studio space on Morena Blvd. in May of 2021, and Madhouse as you know it was officially born.

With the opening of the studio, came the introduction of Redroom®, now our most popular series of classes. With four walls, no windows, and no more curious onlookers at the public park, Olivia could truly let loose and teach in a way that felt authentic to her. She loved expressing her sexuality and tapping into her feminine energy through dance, and it quickly became the medicine to her years of struggle with self-love and self-acceptance. Her self-love journey completely accelerated when she started celebrating her body and expressing her sexuality through Redroom classes. It made her feel powerful and confident in a way that nothing else could, and she knew her purpose was to give that feeling of empowerment to other women.

Now 4+ years later, we have built a tight-knit team and an empowered community of Madwomen. Through our two studios and our online platform, we help our members build confidence and strength through dance. Every Madhouse team member has one goal: help you feel like the strongest, sexiest, and most bad bitch version of yourself. Your self-love transformation starts now!
