dance class FAQ’s
1. What is the difference between Dance Cardio and Redroom Dance Cardio?
Dance Cardio and Redroom Dance Cardio are both dance fitness classes in which you follow along with the instructor and get a killer 50 minute dance workout. Both of these classes are designed to be a blast and make you feel sexy and confident in your own skin!
While Dance Cardio has plenty of fun and sexy moments, classes labeled "Redroom" are extra spicy. Redroom involves more explicit music and raunchy dance moves to get you feeling like the baddest bitch on the block. Redroom Dance Cardio includes floorwork and requires kneepads, while regular Dance Cardio will be on your feet.
If you’re not sure where to start, we recommend starting with Dance Cardio and then trying Redroom Dance Cardio when you’re ready.
2. What exactly is Redroom?
Redroom is our original series of sexy dance fitness classes, all beginner friendly and designed to make you feel confident and spicy. Redroom is a celebration of sexuality, sensuality, and divine femininity. These classes are a beautiful physical and mental release of what our society has long considered taboo. We want to help women celebrate all the things they have been told to hide, specifically their sexuality and their body.
We turn the overhead lights down and red lighting on so that you feel comfortable to move however you desire. There is floor work, so be mindful if you have sensitive knees. Classes labeled Redroom are only open to women and non-binary people.
3. Can men come to the studio?
Yes! Men are welcome to come to the studio for “Dance Cardio.” Anything labeled Redroom is open to women and non-binary people only.
4. Do I need previous dance experience?
Not at all! At Madhouse, all of our classes are beginner friendly and geared towards helping you feel confident in your own body no matter your experience level.
5. What is the difference between beginner and beginner/intermediate?
Both class types are friendly to all levels, but beginner/intermediate might pose slightly more of a challenge to beginners. Modifications will always be offered if a more intermediate move is introduced. That being said, there is still no experience needed for either! We celebrate dancers of all levels.
6. What do I wear?
Wear whatever you feel most comfortable and confident working out in! For cardio, we always recommend sneakers and shorts for optional booty shakin'.
7. Are heels required? If so, what type of heels do you recommend?
Heels are optional! Feel free to wear whatever you are comfortable in - sneakers, socks, barefoot, or heels! If you do decide to wear heels, we recommend a heel with no platform and one that supports your ankle. Our go to brands are Burju and Vamp Heels. Not necessary to purchase but a great heel if you want to try!
8. Do you offer kneepads? Where can I buy them?
We offer free knee pads for first timers to borrow! You can buy volleyball kneepads at any sports store or buy online. HERE is a link to ones we like to use.
9. Should I book in advance or can I walk in?
We always recommend reserving your spot in advance as classes do fill up, and we cannot guarantee a spot for you as a walk in.
10. Is there an age requirement or limit?
We are an adults only dance fitness studio. Therefore, everyone must be 18 years old in order to dance with us. There is no limit on how old you can be! Modifications are always offered, and we encourage everyone to move their body in a way that feels good for them.
11. Do you offer online classes?
Yes, we offer virtual classes that you can take from the comfort of your home. Get your 7-day free trial HERE!
12. Can I host an event or party at the studio?
Absolutely! We offer event space for birthday parties, bachelorette parties, and more. You can find more information HERE!
13. What is your cancellation policy?
We have a 12 hour cancellation policy. If you cancel or no-show within 12 hours of class, you will be charged a $10 late fee, and your credit will automatically go back into your account for future use. Unlimited and Red Hot Members get 1 fee exemption every calendar month (not billing cycle). Mini Memberships do not qualify for this exemption.
